And amazed, just as much, at the general enthusiasm for good food and good eateries among the many, many thousands who turn up every year to Thame Food Festival to savour all that the area has to offer gastronomically.
To tap into this enthusiasm, I decided to champion the cause of suppliers, growers, cooks, restaurants and pubs with a magazine dedicated to local food and drink.
The aim of Cuizine will not just be to celebrate the tastes and flavours of our region but also to promote the talents and efforts of everyone involved in getting great food from field to plate.
